Malmont, Domaine Viticole
The terraced Malmont vineyard is of striking beauty. A well hidden gem in the hillsides above Séguret. Malmont, the official name of the location has very naturally become the name of Nicolas Haeni’s young winery. With Malmont, Nicolas is living his dream of working on a small vineyard and being as close as possible to his land and to be able to express the uniqueness of this terroir. The slope is steep and the ground is rocky at Malmont. A place that is hard to cultivate. This reason is certainly the origin of its name: „mal-mont“. Hence Nicolas is looking at a great challenge! The passion for this « one-and-only » vineyard, sketched out harmoniously among these hills in Séguret, has led Nicolas to start this new vinery and to make the first wines in 2013.
Vineyard management
and winemaking
We follow the principles of organic and bio-dynamic farming with a special focus on a balanced nutrition of the soil.
Our winemaking aims at translating in the most accurate way the great fruit we harvest in the terroir of Malmont. Hence our interventions are reduced to a strict minimum. We use wild yeast to ferment and very little sulfites. No other additives than sulfites enter our winemaking process.
Malmont, Domaine Viticole has been certified in Organic Agriculutre in 2022 (FR-Bio-01).
